On Saturday it was Ham Fair, a delightful annual event held on Ham Common. My local church ran a Cake Stall, so last Friday I rolled up my sleeves and baked...and baked...and baked.
I bought the disposable cake tins and trays from Lakeland, and they proved to be wonderful. Using one batch of each recipe, I baked three small
Banana Breads, and two lovely
Lemon Drizzle Cakes.
Additionally I baked some
Lunch Box Cookies, some with cocoa to make them even more chocolatey!
I also decided tray bakes might work well, so I made a chocolate sponge and a vanilla sponge and decorated them. Then I melted
marshmallows and
chocolate to make two Rice Krispie Fridge cakes.

The Chocolate Cake,
Oops! I forgot to take it, so we had to eat it ourselves! |
I think I'm going to take a break from baking for a few days!
And I really think I need a new camera and to go on a course, the photos don't really do justice to the cakes, they did look lovely, and Oh! how I wish we could have smell on a food blog, wouldn't it be super?
Wow! You must be baked out! They all look delicious. I really like the stars on the chocolate tray bake.
ReplyDeleteWhat a bake-a-thon! I'm sure they were a big hit. And I love the idea of a smell-o-blog!
ReplyDeleteAll of those look amazing :)
ReplyDeleteThank you Miss Cake Baker, Kate and Nic, sometimes a day baking can be so satisfying! And then giving them away prevents me eating them...perfect!
