I do still have a few posts from the holidays, which is a good thing, and I'll just tell you why.
We arrived home last Wednesday morning (2am), as my husband had a meeting at work, we unloaded the car, and the following morning I tore around busy with chores. I bought uniform for my daughter, managed a supermarket shop for basics and tackled the laundry, as well as airing the house.
At 5pm the phone rang, it was my daughter's school. There was an emergency and they needed a teacher for the Nursery class until half term. Could I possibly help them?
So I am now teaching full time until the end of October, I did however say there were two days I couldn't do as I fully intend to attend Vanessa's exciting Fairtrade Challenge at Fortnum and Mason on the 24th of September, and on the 28th I am planning to meet some of my good blogging friends for a Macmillan Coffee Morning.
It is wonderful to be wanted, and I am really enjoying my return to the 'chalkface', however, I am exhausted and time to blog and more importantly cook has evaporated, so please bare with me over the next few weeks, I will get back to normal once the new teacher starts at school in November. At present I will probably only be able to post at the weekends, if I ever reach the bottom of the ironing basket.
Below I have a few photos of some Garlic with Parsley Butter Prawns I cooked in Brittany, partly to prove that we do eat other seafood then lobster, and because easy-peasy food like this is the kind of thing I will be cooking over the next few weeks, and it's good. A bright and cheerful meal, that would make a great Saturday lunch as we enjoy the fading sunshine in early Autumn.

though Hugh may be disappointed
as I have 4, not 3 ingrediants
prawns, garlic, butter and parsley
Pop butter in a pan with garlic and parsley
Add the prawns and heat through
Serve with lemon
Don't forget a bowl for all the shells
Thank you for all your lovely comments recently. I have been remiss in commenting myself, but once I have spoken to my class's parents tomorrow evening, I should be able to focus on commenting again, please do forgive me, I am still reading your blogs.
